Research Monitoring Committee


Introduction

Our College has been promoting research activities since its inception. With up gradation consequent increase in faculty members and undergraduate students across all streams there has been a significant and continuing increase in research activity at all levels. The purpose of Research Monitoring Committee is to increase the quality of research in staff, and encourage the students to publish/ Present their work in Various Journals, Symposia and Research Conventions like ‘Avishkar’

Functions

The research proposals generated by college teachers need to have the approval of Research Monitoring Committee before being submitted for an ethics committee for consideration. Under this process, Research Monitoring Committee will perform mainly the function of consideration of research proposals for quality improvement and approval.

Research Monitoring Committee has following terms of references (TOR):

  1. To facilitate students/Staff in learning to think in innovative and creative ways.
  2. To facilitate students/Staff in understanding the link between research and patient care.
  3. To facilitate students/Staff to use and understand the relevance of using statistical methods and tools required.
  4. To facilitate students/Staff to understand the importance of teamwork in conducting research.
  5. To facilitate students/Staff in developing communication skills to present their research findings in various scientific platforms.
