Late B. S. Arts, Prof. N. G. Science And A. G. Commerce College, Sakharkherda is having a wonderful combination of students belong to different castes which are the part of the society. The institution has a sole aim to serve society in every respect. Everyone has a right to enjoy material, cultural and educational resources.Their are several groups in society which lack behind with the main stream od the society Equal Oppertunity Cell in the college is formed to take care of such a groups. These groups are SC's,ST's,Women,OBC,Minorities and Physically challenged. The Cell aim at providing dignity,identity and rights to the students belong to these communities.

In tyhe indian society girls are victims of the evil traditions and customs. They are considered inferior. Equal Oppertunity Cell works for girls student to make them equal and keep social balance of the society. Students belong to Muslim Community many times is deprived of all dimensions of development, same is the case with other minorities. The same works for the students belong to such a group.

The Cell also takes care of physically challanged students and provide them educational atmosphere according to their needs. Our constitution ensure equal oppertunity to each citizen of india and our institution does it accordingly. The cell has responsibility to take care of disadvantaged social groups.

Aims:

1. To observe the effective implementation of policies and programmes for disadvantaged.

2. To guide disadvantaged groups in respect of academic,financial and social development.

3. To provide equal oppertunity to student community at large in the college.

4. To eliminate discrimination among students, teaching and non-teaching staff.

5. To provide healthy atmosphere for students coming from different social background.

6. To look into the grievances put forward by disadvantages group and provide solutions of problems.

7. To ensure due utilization SC,ST,OBC and Minorities in admission and recruitements.

Objective Of SC/ST Committee:

• Eliminate the discrimination or harassment.

• Promote the equality among all.

• To adopt and implement harmonized guidelines and space standards for barrier free built environment for all.

• To identify the issues in the campus and to provide an enabling and non-discriminative environment for all.

• To promote inclusive policies and practices for all on the campus.

• To look into the grievances and ensure equality and equal opportunities to the disadvantaged group on campus through proper implementation of policies, skills, and programs of society.

• To disseminate the information related to schemes, programs, notifications / memoranda, office orders of the Govt., related to welfare of target groups from time to time.

• To promote diversity and inclusive practices on campus and provide the underprivileged groups with adequate opportunities.

• Safeguard the interest of students without any prejudice to their caste, creed, religion, language, ethnicity, gender and disability.

• To create an atmosphere of Equal Opportunity through awareness generation programmes.

• To provide auxiliary support towards skill development and enhancing employability of students.

• To expedite legal Redressal in matters of violation of equal opportunity.

Advisory Committee:

Late B. S. Arts, Prof. N. G. Science And A. G. Commerce College, Sakharkherda has formed advisory committee to review implementation of various schemes by governmants for the student belong to disadvantage groups.Different activities under taken by the college.The committee ensure implementation of reservation policies for SC,ST,PH,OBC students.students are free to contact the committee for their need and support.The committee is bound to tackle those problems put forward by the students.
